Telekinesis
She has the ability to manipulate and move objects using her mind. The weight and complicity of the object determines how effective her ability is. Too much strain on the mind, for example using her telekinetic power too often or moving multiple heavy objects, can lead to extreme pain and loss of concentration. Telekinesis requires concentration to be used.
Mixed Martial Arts
Her race practiced their own set of dances and martial arts that she learned from her godfather. One includes the use of a staff in combat.
The Beginning
Kendra was born on a small planet called Ethoria thousands of light years away from Earth. Ethorians are skillful telekinetics, an ability that challenges both the body and mind. After a failed assassination attempt on Kendra by her elder brother and heir to the crown when she was young, a cult grew which eventually led to the culling of her people. She was sent to Earth where alien refugees were common with little recollection of her life on her home planet.
Earth Life
She was put into an overcrowded orphanage, though not knowing of her true identity. A foster family took her in a few years later. After heading to college to pursue a history degree, she learns of her alien background from her godfather who had also survived. It is uncovered that her brother survived as well looking to kill her. Second time's the charm.
Present Time
Kendra is learning to harness her abilities while grieving the death of her close friend. To comtinue paying for her apartment and school tuition, she does mercenary work with a strict code of no killing. However, she wouldn't hesitate if she had to. As a result, she isn't much of a 'hero.' She believes that there are none.
